The article even contradicts itself. Demanding to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about covid makes perfect sense. But that's not what they're referring to. They are referring to covid restrictions we knew were purely symbolic, school closures which persisted even after we knew that children are neither at risk nor primary vectors of transmission, and to vaccine mandates which were upheld long after we knew that they did nothing to stop transmission or prevent infection against the dominant variants at the time.
