russia isn’t a major geopolitical threat. that’s just 1980s policy in the 21st century.

they told us this in 2012 in order to win an election.

Traitors=/=their own people. Once you take up arms against the country in which you reside you can't hide behind citizenship.

They don't get to call themselves that because they chose to fight for....idk to die and be a puppet state? I guess that's a win? I wouldn't get in that line personally.

This is the second time your examples of mass murder are less than a 5 people dying in a short period of time btw.

They could of lived there regardless of fighting for it is the thing. This argument is completely unrealistic.

Like for real all your examples rely heavily on the fact that the only reason any fighting is going on is because some traitors started a fight and put civilians in harms way.

What if...just think for a second...they just said "we are a minority and this place isn't for us so we are going to the place we want to be in". Why wasn't this a better solution than starting a war?

If these separatist group truly think they can be neither russian nor ukrainian i'd say those groups are simply chaos makers.

what you argue for/ agree with is antfia/BLM ,choas makers that about sums it up really!
I think this is more then that, but who really know?

Traitors to what, exactly? A bunch of mass-murdering and Stepan Bandera-worshipping fascists? There is a reason people now call Ukraine Banderastan as a joke.

They have every right to defend themselves from aggression launched on their peoples by fascists. Now you would think that Europe would reject Nazism and reject modern-day fascism, but instead they are all groveling at Ukraine's feet and lining up to support the Nazi regime in Kiev, who launched a terroristic blitzkrieg on their own people because they would rather blame Russia than have to admit that the post-coup government in Ukraine, backed and installed by the US, is totally corrupt and guilty of numerous war-crimes and crimes against humanity.

Oh, I'm sorry that not enough civilians were murdered in the past two days for you. The fact that *any* civilians have been killed at all by Ukraine's military is already unacceptable as it is. Does it make you feel better that the total number of dead civilians, killed by Ukrainian artillery alone since 2014 exceeds well over ten thousand? Is that enough blood for you, or would you rather it be in the hundreds of thousands?

Sadly you're just another ignorant fool that has resorted to blaming the victims of this conflict. Ukraine could at any time have sought peaceful negotiations with Donbass. Instead they opened fire on Donbass, sent in tanks and aircraft and tens of thousands of troops whom massacred anything and everything in-front of them, before the tide of the war turned and they suffered one defeat after another in 2014-2015. Not once in the past 8 years did they seek peace and not once did they negotiate with Donbass.

I will re-iterate: there are 1 million people approximately living in Donbass territory. They lived there before the coup and they have a right to the land, which they have fought and shed blood for. These people should not have to leave, uproot their lives and be forced to live in Russia because of an illegitimate regime that was installed by the United States. That's not fair to them, it's not fair to Russia, and it's not fair for their lives and for their dignity. You blame them for "starting the war", but in reality this war was sparked first and foremost by US meddling in Ukraine and secondly by the far-right Nazi militant groups in Ukraine, who would be, if there was any real justice in this world, condemned by the world's international community for openly attempting to carry out a campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide against their own nation's people, merely because they spoke Russian instead of Ukrainian.

Then they can die in a war they gain nothing for dying in I guess? It seems like a lose lose situation all around.

You can't paint pointless deaths in a good light. SOME chose to fight, apparently 10k civilians paid the price of someone else choice.

You don't see me saying the Ukraine is a great place, you see me saying that pointless death never solved a single problem for them.

Now it's a puppet state that has no ability to hold it own so how was this a win? You believe they will be a freedom filled country any time soon? I don't.

Now it's just more civilian death because some people couldn't immigrate when they felt the country they resided in wasn't for them.

You just told me a day ago that Zelensky was actively planning an invasion of the DPR, and would do it because he's Biden's lackey!

It seems you have a short memory. That was before Russia officially moved Russian peacekeepers into DPR's territory. This situation has rapidly evolved and is changing constantly, and there may even be more unexpected developments in the coming days.

They were planning an attack, which was obvious since Ukraine's military had formed an attack posture with 60,000 troops, 500 tanks, and increased the level of shelling dramatically in such a way that was clearly intended to soften up the defenses shortly before invading the area, but that was before Russia announced they recognized DPR and LPR's independence, that is.

They may still be planning to attack, but one thing is for sure: Russia pre-empted their plans for an offensive operation and now has made it far more untenable for them to actually pursue said offensive operation.

This is good, because it will prevent more unnecessary bloodshed.

Ukraine has no problems with attacking the relatively small and much weaker DPR and LPR militias, a force which only numbers around 40-50 thousand soldiers. However, now Ukraine is facing a new reality: attacking Donbass now also means attacking the Russian army and possibly receiving a direct military retaliation from Russia's airforce, navy and strategic missile forces.

Bullies love to attack those that are weaker than them. Problem is, Russia is far stronger than Ukraine and they know it. Now it would be the equivalent of a brainless thug trying to bully a professional MMA fighter with dozens of trophies under their belt into submission.

Putin completely changed the rules of engagement overnight. Will the bully decide to commit suicide anyway? Heh, find out on next week's episode of Crisis in Ukraine!

I'm not entirely sure what you are getting at here.

BLM and Antifa(god i hate to even type this buzzword) want to be part of any other country or create their own poorly thought out country over their issues.

A week ago Ukraine was planning to attack Donbass, yes.

Russia responded by pre-empting the offensive which they knew was coming, moved in peacekeepers and recognized the independence of Donbass.

Ukraine did not expect this and did not plan their offensive operation with this potential move by Russia in mind.

Now attacking Donbass is suicide for them, to a much heightened degree than it was before.

Well, now they can either kill themselves or back down from the crisis they created in the first place by threatening Donbass with an invasion.

What do you think is the most logical choice for them now that Russia is actually involved in LDNR?

See, it's not hard to figure out if you use your brain.

Im not trolling you or w/e you want to call it. Your explanation of the situation looks like BLM/Antifa all I'm saying. the 2nd line makes no sense after calling BLM Antifa a buzzword.

Correct me if I'm wrong no anger on me end

I wouldnt want to discuss with a russian troll how it never even matters what the most logical choice would be. Dictators and mass murderers like putin never go with logical choices anyway :wallbash:

Wait massing troops counts as an attack posture? So what did you consider the 190k troops Russia moved to the Ukrainian border?
