Had a German neighbor who really loved dogs with his life. His dad worked with some motorcycle company, Yamaha I think, and had business trips to Vietnam when he was a child which he brought him with on at least one occasion.
He said he was fed dog meat at a resturant his dad took him to, and claimed it was the best meat he had ever tasted.
His dad didn't tell him for years that it was dog meat.

Well, we live in a strange hypocrite world. We are supposed to eat less meat to save the world but people keep countless amount of predators as house pets (cats and dogs)
As for eating a predator's meat, the muscles are usually rough and hard. Only the juvenile ones who are raised confined would make sense. To use meat to raise meat for consumption is not smart at all economically, so whatever phenomenon you see in any culture, it's of small scale nature probably or in places where there is no space for cattle but an abundance of throw away carcasses (fishing grounds next to an urban overpopulated city areas).

Yes. Shelters are overrun with very meaty bully breeds. Having spoken with members of some cultures that eat dogs, they claim that dogmeat tastes pretty good.

Sure why not? As if a dog is any better or worse than cows, pigs or whatever else we eat.

Rounding up all the pit bulls for meat honestly isn't a bad idea
