It might blow your mind, but the world isnt limited to the United States. Schools have been open or semi-open in many European countries for quite some time now without issues; or with minor issues but without causing a large spread of the virus or a mass extinction of grandparents.

The only place in the developed world where reopening schools really backfired is Israel, and it's not hard to see why (classes filled to the brim with far too little distance, ultraorthodox Jews being generally uncooperative with public health measures).

What do you expect

You probably don’t even realize it but we’re seeing the biggest destruction of the middle class in modern history. Those people are being transferred to the lower class dependent on government for basic needs. This same government does the bidding of billion dollar corporations many of them soaring to all time highs. Google, apple, Microsoft, etc. Is it a surprise none of them are complaining about the lockdowns? In a generation or two we’ll be like those dystopian societies in which corporations are running everything.

So good job on clapping like a seal for that future comrade.
