M.D. is not a specialty. "Family medicine" is a specialty. "Neurosurgery" is a specialty. "Corporate law" is a specialty.

A family medicine doctor has no weight when discussing infectious disease, for example, same as an infectious disease expert has no weight when discussing surgical technique. If you aren't discussing things within your specialty then your degree adds no weight to your argument.

You can literally just google what constitutes a medical specialty. There are specific board exams and certifications to gain a specialty in a particular field of medicine.

Damn dude. You're so mad about being corrected on a simple matter of terminology.

I am wholly in favor of censorship of professionals when they are using their credentials to give weight to claims that are outside of their specialty. So if a cardiologist makes a YouTube channel and starts saying "I'm an awesome cardiologist and an awesome doctor and I think Covid is fake" then he should be professionally punished and his channel deleted because he would be using his credentials to spread harmful misinformation.
