I don't like this one. Jesus was telling a man to give everything to the poor and follow him as a disciple. It is often noted that he says to give to the poor, but this is one of the only situations, that are all pretty simliar to this one, that he states give everything.

Hitler attacked the church like everything else that was against his ideology. He hated Christianity. I don't know where people get this Hitler = Christian. Nazism is as godless of an ideology as it gets.

Acutally this topic is not common discussed, even in germany. But the nazi-regimes had some reasons to use the Christianity for their interests.

Hitler tortured and killed any and every Christian leader worth their salt in Germany. Only a few corrupt opportunistic politicians within the Catholic and Lutheran churches collaborated with Hitler, after the leadership was cleared out of the way.

The Nazi party co-opted the church like it co-opted German business.
