"why wont the magats stop supporting him after what he did at arlington cemetary"
said the group who gave so little support to Harris that she had to drop out without any delegates before Iowa. its pretty entertaining as a centrist to hear the anti-trump cult criticize the trump cult for unwavering support, when for 4 years we heard how Biden is a hero. they literally elected a man simply because he had a pulse and almost nothing else. his milktoast blandness was nothing more than a counter to trumps rampant tirades. most of his record pre-Obama vp is textbook congressional tomfoolery and downright support for racist policies, they cheered as Kamala brought up segregated bus routes, they throw around the "super predator" labels that destroyed urban black communities, and in a blink of an eye turned it all around because he was going against trump.
meanwhille the trump voters must own every microcosm of anything anyone even adjacently connected to maga says or ever did. critical race theory can be just a fun thought experiment meant to only occasionally guide decisions, but project 2025 is a literal playbook for authoritarian rule that will be followed to the letter. 2016 taught the democratic voters literally nothing about how disenfranchised middle american and rust belt voters feel, 2020 gave them false hope that it was simply a blip on the radar never to return. the inability to understand and offer a path forward for people economically struggling across areas they consider flyover territory will likely cost them 2024 and beyond. the inability to meld coastal yuppy political wants and core american needs is a failure by design. they'd rather keep millions in overcrowded cities from unrest than actually win elections.
Project 2025 is a milquetoast response to what Democrats are actively practicing in every federal agency. There are some good ideas and dumb ones, but the main concept is to subordinate the federal bureaucracy to the guy (or woman!) the American people have genuinely and democratically elected to rule.
