Fun fact: this judge I am talking about - Stephan Harbarth, who has meanwhile been promoted to Chief Justice of the German Supreme Court - used to work as a lawyer at a law firm in the early 2000s, before becoming a member of parliament. It was at this very law firm at this very point in time that the so-called "Cum-Ex" scheme was contrived which allowed banks to legally rob the public for over €10 billion in tax refunds. And guess who's also involved in the Cum-Ex scandal: our current chancellor Olaf Scholz who was looking the other way in his role as then-Minister of Finance when this Cum-Ex legal loophole became public knowledge.
