Okay, that's an unfortunate miscommunication. I guess it's become hard to tell hyperbole from serious opinion these days...
And to be blatantly honest, I'm still not sure what exactly you were trying to convey with that post. Were you sarcastically mocking the TDS crowd out of the blue, or was that supposed to mock the pro-Trump crowd?

Anyway, can we agree that there are groups in which Trump exacerbated vaccine hesitancy, but that there are also some other groups lagging behind as well (e.g. young blacks and latinos) that Democrats must take care of?

I'd go as far as to say that if Trump had actively pushed for vaccinations and masks, that we would have over 60% vaccination in every state.

I was talking about stuff like the Tuskegee Syphilis experiment, which undermined black trust in public vaccination campaigns for decades and presumably still resonates to this day.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_Syphilis_Study

Anyway, to recap: you claimed, without proof, that the vaccine outreach and availability have been sufficient, and that the Trump admin is almost exclusively to blame for the partisan divide on vaccines.
I responded by linking a well-sourced article from a reputable publication which disproves both notions using hard data and scientific studies.

Your reply: "get cucked partisan hack".

Of course Thor's notion that only Trump is to blame for insufficient vaccine uptake is ridiculous when we literally have a big, glaring issue with the vaccination rates of black and hispanic Americans who lean Democratic and disproportionately live in blue cities and states.

At the same time, it's also ridiculous to try to deny that Trump contributed significantly to the vaccine hesitancy among rural whites in places like Arkansas, Missouri, Georgia and so on. These are "his" people who listen to his cues - and the cue he gave them throughout is to distrust and resist any public efforts against covid as well as to underestimate the threat the virus poses to them.

per the lefties and media they are all solid Republican Trump supporters
thor is the kind of lefty to scream a racial slur at a minority who may not be vaccinated yet.

Trump made major unforced errors with masks. He literally said we would get vaccines ready before end of 2020 (success) and then literally recommended American people to get vaccinated if they make that choice (not force!). His own words. He “owns” the mask mess up as much as he “owns” the vaccines being readily available for free for all Americans for months now

In Minneapolis, Hennepin Healthcare System removed gynecologist Tara Gustilo, of Filipino descent, from her position as chair of the OB/GYN department after members of her department questioned her “ability to lead.” The demotion followed her series of Facebook posts criticizing critical race theory, Black Lives Matter and “How to Be an Antiracist” author Ibram X. Kendi, and her insistence that her department must strictly adhere to race-neutral policies with regard to patient care.

A podcast of the Journal of the American Medical Association caused a furor this year when one of its editors suggested that discussion of systemic racism is an unfortunate distraction that should be taken off the table. In response to a protest petition, the AMA launched an internal investigation into the creation of the podcast (and a since deleted Tweet that promoted it). Eventually, the Journal’s top two editors, who are both white, resigned – the editor-in-chief’s departure coming after he issued a public apology in which he affirmed the existence of structural racism in the United States and in the health care field.

Colleagues and other doctors on Twitter denounced as racist University of Pittsburgh cardiologist and professor Norman Wang, who is ethnically Chinese, after his peer-reviewed paper last year critiqued affirmative action as illegal and discriminatory. The Journal of the American Heart Association, which published the paper, soon retracted it, alleging “deliberate misinformation or misrepresentation.” Wang’s employer demoted him from his role as director of a fellowship program for physicians, barred him from contact with fellows and residents, and temporarily prohibited Wang from contact with med students. Kathryn Berlacher, director of the cardiology fellowship program, reprimanded him in an email: “It is clear to us that any educational environment in which you partake is inherently unsafe, increasing our learners’ risk for undue bias and harm."

Quote
Berlacher announced Wang’s demotion in a Tweet. “We stand united for diversity, equity and inclusion,” she proclaimed. “And denounce this individual’s racist beliefs and paper.”

The American Heart Association chimed in: “JAHA is editorially independent but that’s no excuse. We’ll investigate. We’ll do better."

A reminder that this is normal behavior in Joe Biden's America.

You're deriving a lot of certainty in your assessment from a very small sample size. During the 90s, the Democrats had moved far to the right on economic policy, that was a totally different era and political environment. And a different Democratic party.

Since then, they had something resembling to full control for only 2 years. And even when looking at just the time since 2010, their stance on a lot of social, cultural and economic issues has zoomed to the left, there was a creeping political realignment (the "education gap" replacing the "income gap" as the main dividing line between the parties), the face of their base has changed drastically, as has the "power center" of the party. It is a huge stretch to infer from Obama using his strong mandate to push a watered down, moderate bill ten years ago that Democrats today would only push watered down, centrist legislation if given the chance.

you can't acknowledge they've had little legislative control AND take their policy at face value, a party out of power always throws wild pitches to rile up the base to regain control. look at the GOP "repealing obamacare" many times over while Obama was in office knowing it would get vetoed. then when given the chance under trump to fix it they did nothing. that's politics. ive said their messaging was more extreme than their legislation, specifically on the charge u laid on social issues which like obamacare they use to rile up the base.

On top of all of that, the bills proposed and/or already passed by the Biden administration during just its first 8 months contain government spending in excess of $5 trillion and would represent the largest expansion of statist policies since Johnson's Great Society. Not exactly what I would consider "watered down, moderate legislation".

out of context, watered down moderate legislation was again in contrast to scary social issue legislation like trans rights laws in canada or new categories of hate crimes that scare white people, not in historical context given their category (infrastructure in this context). and we're spending so much more because so many issues have been passed down, infrastructure is seriously suffering and needs and overhaul. overhauls are always expensive.

Biden's Admin & Democrats in General: We must stop fossil fuel production and consumption. Raise regulations, kill off projects, etc. Kill Keystone, kill offshore, kill Alaska drilling, kill shale and so on.

Also the Biden admin:

U.S. President Joe Biden's administration on Wednesday urged OPEC and its allies to boost oil output to tackle rising gasoline prices that they see as a threat to the global economic recovery.

The request reflects the White House's willingness to engage major world oil producers for more supply to help industry and consumers, even as it seeks the mantle of global leadership in the fight against climate change and discourages drilling at home.

I guess greenhouse gases and global warming will only happen if we drill in certain parts of the world but not other. Makes sense.

Most Americans will see nothing wrong with this. They would need 60 or more IQ to understand it's bad as fuck.
