i personally would prefer orban gone and someone else continuing his core politics, but the hungarian people want him so there is that

The statement is overblown by the media in Western Europe and presented as if Orban and Zelensky hated each other or were outright antagonists. Zelensky's preference for Marki-Zay in the Hungarian election is not much different from the way French politicians tend to root for Social Democrats over Christian Democrats in German elections - it's just that politicians usually keep their mouths shut about their preference in their neighbor's elections. Zelensky is unusually blunt and outspoken about everything.
