There were actual battles between people who want to end qualified immunity and people who believe police should be able to commit crimes/be criminals, and the police allowed this, so ofc course there were big problems.
Here in Poland we also had abortion banned lately. It was also by courts as the politicians prefer to stay out and let the court decide.
The court that they previously filled with right-wingers, lol.
There were protests for like a month, but then people eventually worn out and stopped protesting.
Here abortion ban isn't a big problem, because you can go to neighbour country, which is max like 4hours drive, and get your abortion there. It will be pretty similar in USA.
Still at least two woman died because of new law. They were in the hospital with their children dying, but doctors were scared to abort while the child was still alive, so both woman and their children died instead.
If you ask me why this thing came out now, during the war with Russia, I will tell you its not coincidence. I believe some Putin agents contacted some people in USA to make chaos and riots inside USA, so that USA doesnt help the poor Ukraine people.
