In Nevada our governor extended our phase 2 through July about a week ago. There have been a shitload of new cases and the trends are pointing up since then, so I think he will take action after July 4th to bring back restrictions we had early on in this thing. He's been very aggressive about how he wants to handle this thing, so I expect it.

Given we border California and Newsom just shut down stuff in 17 of their counties, recommending to the others to do the same, I feel we will follow suit.

My question is how we handle gaming. It is basically established that bars are a target for shutdowns and honestly gaming can't be a whole Hell of a lot better. As someone not particularly invested in gaming it seems like it ought to have remained closed throughout this whole thing. As far as societal needs I'd rank gaming just below the man willing to blow someone behind a dumpster for a handle of Evan Williams.

If not just the bars, but also gaming is shut down for months on end, Nevada's economy will face an apocalyptic recession. There's probably no other state whose economy is as dependent on one thing as Nevada's in on the Strip. I can understand why your governor tries to keep it open as much and as long as possible.

Understandable, yes, but more than just gaming we are super dependent on tourism in general. So much of our income comes from room tax, from what I understand, and we've had so much shit canceled so that's taken a huge hit.

It was my hope that during the period where gaming was suspended we'd realize how stupid of an industry it is and not return to it. I'm also extremely naive.

According to the report, "the two chambers of tissue inside the penis, known medically as the corpora cavernosa, were rigid but the tip was flaccid. An ice pack was applied to the area, and after four hours, his erection still hadn't gone down. They decided to carry out a procedure to remove the blood from his penis using a needle."

A team at Henry Ford Health System in Southeast Michigan said Thursday its study of 2,541 hospitalized patients found that those given hydroxychloroquine were much less likely to die.
Dr. Marcus Zervos, division head of infectious disease for Henry Ford Health System, said 26% of those not given hydroxychloroquine died, compared to 13% of those who got the drug. The team looked back at everyone treated in the hospital system since the first patient in March.
"Overall crude mortality rates were 18.1% in the entire cohort, 13.5% in the hydroxychloroquine alone group, 20.1% among those receiving hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin, 22.4% among the azithromycin alone group, and 26.4% for neither drug," the team wrote in a report published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.
....
"Our results do differ from some other studies," Zervos told a news conference. "What we think was important in ours ... is that patients were treated early. For hydroxychloroquine to have a benefit, it needs to begin before the patients begin to suffer some of the severe immune reactions that patients can have with Covid," he added.
The Henry Ford team also monitored patients carefully for heart problems, he said.
"The combination of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin was reserved for selected patients with severe COVID-19 and with minimal cardiac risk factors," the team wrote.

was a hack study.. the removed all people with at risk heart issues.
So if they would label. "has promise for people with no risk of heart issues" maybe would be more palatable.
selecting specific groups then claiming success, isn't a blind study.
