Mittens the carpetbagger is mad again. he thinks because he ran for President (twice, and failed both times) that he gets to pontificate on withdrawing troops from an area that is quite capable of paying to defend itself from threats. Then again he probably thinks that it is the swamp-demon pack of the ghost of McCain/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Mattis/CEO of Lockheed/CEO of Northrop and himself who get dictate how our military forces are deployed, not the Commander-in-Chief

I think he believes he can pontificate because he's on the appropriate Senate committees....

Perhaps he shouldn't be. He makes a very weak case.

We should not only keep our troops in Germany, but put an equal amount in Poland and Georgia as well. Georgia allows us to keep pressure on both Iran and Russia so that's a win win.

We want bases in Germany for force projection considerations, but we don't need tens of thousands of troops present.

Putting pressure on Russia isn't a top priority. The Russians are weak and the Europeans must share a heavier load. The Chinese will demand our full attention. "A slap in the face..." to an ally that refuses to pay its dues and has been the one of the biggest recipients of American largesse. I want Fender shooting Russians on the front-line.

He really doesnt understand the hypocritical psyche of white suburbans. Imho, most of them are indeed not thrilled about public housing in their neighborhood, or about excessive "diversifcation", but they dont want political leadership to spell it out explicitly either. They imho want to (continue to) enjoy the benefits of living in a well-off, socially and ethnically homogeneous neighborhood, but they dont want to feel like a selfish, racist/classist piece of shit because of it. And that's exactly how Trump's crude and on the nose style of messaging makes them feel. They imho want to enjoy their privileges while feeling like they belong to "the good side", while Trump has only one message: "come to the dark side".
