According to our governor's address yesterday they believe that wearing masks, social distancing and other mitigation efforts have really helped the proliferation of the disease out here. It is also apparently believed that had we been strong on these measures early we could have avoided a lot of this.

But you are right, I'm not an epidemiologist or medical professor but I do know you basically assume no risk by wearing a mask for a little bit when you in to public.

You learn how to use masks from the regular surgical masks all the way up to the big ass duck-bills you need to be safe in a tuberculosis patient room in about 10 minutes, and it's taught to pretty much everybody with any kind of patient contact. I've been through the training more times than I care to mention since when I worked at the hospital it had to be redone every 3 months.

The flu/norovirus rooms, which are similar to Covid, and when entering rooms with patients that are immunocompromised are literally as simple as put on a mask to cover your mouth. The only reason we used single-use masks is because they were cheap to buy sterile.

As if janitors and orderlies aren't the people in those rooms the most often.

Yep. The people who see patients most in modern hospitals are usually the phlebotomist and nurse assistants.

What is this in reference to?

Also, Trump's recent hospital trips, his inability to hold things with one hand, and recently been seen dragging his right foot. All paints the picture of somebody who likely had a small stroke. Hopefully he doesn't have a larger one later.
