I pulled the number out of my ass obviously. The point is, this is ALL on the American consumer. We value money above all else.

Meh, it's hard to be ALL on the American consumer when groups with money and a vested interest in taking the blame off themselves have spent billions to change public opinion. The entire idea of a "litterbug" was to take the responsibility of producing reusable containers off the manufacturer and instead put it on the consumer for not disposing of the single use containers properly. The "buy American" is a similar thing where companies put production over seas, lowered cost, took the difference as profit thereby taking it away from the workers, then blamed the workers with less money for not buying American with their more limited funds.

If it's on the individual (the american consumer) then it can also be put on the individuals who sent their production over seas.

Don’t be dramatic.

Individuals need to be ready for some sacrifices. If we lose high tech because we want to save a few bucks on electronics hopefully people aren’t crying in 20 years on why California, Texas & other tech hubs moved all production to East Asia.

Somehow China, Japan & many East Asian societies understand this concept and are deeply protective of their industries while we keep getting cucked by shortsightedness.

ok solve this.. competitive prices driven by free market.
good paying wages for the us manufacturing citizen.
why do you think they left in the first place.

Good luck

High tech we have a competitive advantage and we can export while maintaining decent jobs in the US. Last I heard if you’re working at intel or amd you’re okay financially.

We no longer have a competitive advantage in making shirts so why do so when we can focus on things which have better margins?

Ok. I thought you were saying we could be competitive at both in the US I don’t think that’s possible on the “shirt” side. Walmart will bash you

One thing that pops to mind is how he was actively refusing to wear a mask in public and lead by example in that way. He turned the mask wearing thing into a political point of confrontation rather than using his massive platform in order to try and help influence people into wearing them.

Another thing he's done during Corona that I remember seeing was constantly referring it as "China Virus", which is yet another instance where he is not interested in unity but rather in making it antagonistic.

There will be no speeches like those that JFK delivered for the Trump Presidency, there will only be a myriad of his dumb Tweets.

Masks still aren't proven by science to make a significant different in health outcomes or spread. Some studies say they do worse.

Yea that's why all the doctors in hospitals don't wear 'em.
