The land was SETTLED in 1656. It was not "taken" from anybody. And apartheid wasn't about "seizing farmlands already held by the descendants of Dutch Settlers" but instead about keeping racial groups segregated and cordoned off into areas they already had, and seizing urban areas that had now been declared "white". If you go back and look at the farmland owned and who owned it and how long, you're talking about land that has belonged to these families for 15 generations. The Dutch settlers gave up their citizenship to become South Africans. Their descendants for generations have been born South Africans. If you wish to talk about Apartheid's real impacts, it's rather important you start focusing not on farmlands, but on industrial sites and cities. Places where food is not grown and can't be grown.

You want to talk about horrific actions of the British then go ahead. The "white farmers" weren't brits. They were South Africans who descended from Dutch Settlers who'd owned and been working those lands for over 350 years. So trying to excuse the attempted landgrab from these farmers via the most barbaric and brutal means for no other reason than "they're white" and using apartheid, which had nothing to do with them, simply makes you a racist murder apologist.

You are attempting to justify both the brutal murders of white farmers, and seizing their lands from them to simply lie fallow for no other reason than they're white. You're using apartheid as the excuse, but these farms were owned and worked by these families for over 350 years. They had nothing to do with apartheid. They were not "colonists". They were settlers in a virtually uninhabited area that had been absolutely decimated by tribal warfare. They used their farms for 350 years to feed the bare remnants of the remaining native population, as well as the tens of millions of immigrants and their descendants who arrived later that make up the bulk of the current population. Meanwhile, while the farmers and their families are being brutally butchered, "enlightened" folk such as yourself talk about how they can just "go back where they came from" when they are literally South African. They don't know anywhere else, and have never been anywhere else. Nobody on the fucking planet is 350 years old. None of those farmers know anything about the Netherlands, nor would they be likely to be accepted there. Rather than offering asylum to these VICTIMS of racial violence and attempted genocide, "enlightened" folk such as yourself point at the actions of other people and say, "Well no see, this actually justifies it!"
