If you're referring to the shortage of petrol and diesel, that was a few days where idiots panicked. It's already been and gone

yeah right, nothing says "been and gone" as emergency training and deploying the army, and importing hundreds of pesky foreigners (which brexit was allegedly gonna protect you from), to drive fuel tankers, in order to distribute fuel to gas stations. why are you lying and trying to downplay this?

2-3% is nearly $100bn a year, it's a large reduction in GDP and is exactly what many economists predicted would happen

5%

Nothing but insult.

I guess I hurt your feelings by pointing out that you are unable to answer his questions.

this user for sure is pretty sensitive despite calling people stupid, braindead, nazi, bigot, racist, faggot, incel etc in almost every post ^_^

I don't care what you personally want. Have you asked the German people whether they want refugees or not? Your country is not yours alone. It's also other people's country, too. They should have a say.

in polls there is always a big majority against taking in more illegal migrants, but nobody dares to speak out in public and most are still naive and dont draw the right conclusion

however a minority of people is imposing their will on everyone

I actually live here and it's fine. The good thing about panic buying fuel is you can't really stock up after you've got a full tank, so most petrol stations are stocked up again. Any supply issues are now localised

That's right, but I'm 27 and a chartered accountant so I'll be fine regardless. There is no personal reason for me to care, but I can't not care because it's bad for the country overall, and that is the most important influence on who/what I vote for

are you really that out of the loop? there were people filling all kinds of containers, including fucking water bottles with fuel to hoard it, lol. maybe it's "fine" where you live, but you should definitely watch the news once in a while.

except of course you're suggesting that the bbc / reuters / other news organisations are just making shit up, and the army has not in fact trained hundreds of people to drive fuel tankers, will not be deployed from monday to deliver fuel to empty gas stations, and there aren't thousands of special visas issued to import foreign lorry drivers?

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-58766648

it's hilarious how desperately you're trying to downplay the issue, you very much sound like boris johnson on this, lol.

here are the basics, ampoo:

the guy has a reason to lie (ego protection / committed to a certain narrative / not wanting to admit he was wrong), and several well established media outlets clearly contradict his story.
i don't have to live in the UK to believe what they are reporting. anecdotes are not valid arguments.

i know you hate it when i'm right, but the FACTS (the lorry driver shortage being a direct consequence of brexit, the military will be deployed to deal with the crisis, thousands of temporary visas were issued) simply don't care about your feelings.

end of story
