Both articles linked above are from after the bombing of Gaza, not before. I am therefore not sure what you mean about "even before the bombing" noting various politicians around the world have historically referred to Gaza as the largest open air prison in the world. I am therefore bemused by the notion of relocating Palestinians from Gaza historically when there was no evidence to support this as an option (and regardless this would only be delaying the long term issue of an ever increasing Palestinian population).
I accept the expression "from river to the sea" irks people, so I will refrain from using it in future, but the double standards is mental gymnastics - noting Israeli leaders have, as I recall, used similar language. I am happy to be refuted on this point, noting I can dig up the quotes again if needed to support the point. Its similar to the Nazi comments, Israel has a charter on antisemitism that records referencing WW2 and Nazi's as antisemitic but then has the audacity to call Palestinians Nazi's. This double standards really really grates.
The notion of Israel telling other countries to consider taking in Palestinians, raises a fundamental question - are Palestinians Israeli or not. If they are not Israeli, where is there country ? Happy to debate this point as needed, but to my mind if there is an internal insurrection (say, like in Ukraine vs Eastern Ukraine) the obvious solution would be for a reconciliation, not to export them to another country. Eastern Ukrainians (while accepting they are not angels) fleeing to Russia merely highlights the transgressions of the Kyiv Government. Similarly, Palestinians fleeing Gaza merely highlights the transgressions of the Israeli Government. Again, happy to debate this with you Snipa.
I am not sure if you have read my broader view of the region, i.e. that Israel has long term problems with a much lower birth rate then Palestinians, which will result in the same problems all over again in Gaza and the West Bank in a decade or two due to the ever multiplying Palestinian population. Therefore Israel needs to come up with a serious long term plan, and to my mind, the two-state solution (with "Palestine" having boarders with more then 1 country, Israel, and access to the sea) is the only viable long term solution, noting otherwise Israel will within a decade or two have more non jewish residents then jewish, and that will cause serious problems.
There's nothing inherantly incorrect in this post, nor anything i even disagree with really.
but its got very little to do with what you said before. to streamline in bullet points:
-a war is happening in gaza strip
-this has displaced people inside of gaza city, the most populated area, and the area Israel means to dismantle to dissuade another attack
-the remainder of the gaza strip seemingly cannot support in the short to medium term all of these displaced citizens
-those areas can potentially rebuild urban areas to handle larger populations
-so in the short term those people have to go somewhere
-countries could repopulate them for short to medium term, or even long term.
-right now they're huddled in refugee camps, or they're wandering trying to find a place to go
none of the above proves that Israel is trying to depopulate the gaza strip entirely of arabs, river to sea, a phrase that doesnt offend me, and one you dont have to stop using talking with me. israel knows there's no chance to resettle all of the gazan citizens. just as hitler knew he couldnt repopulate all of the european jews. the numbers never work out on populations that large.
