Looks like they're taking plays out of trumps playbook. Appointing the complete opposite of a position to be in charge of it.

in not so surprising news, 9 out of 10 native americans don't give a fuck about the name redskins while the 1 wanker and a horde of white liberals have been complaining about how offensive the name is

if white liberals can stop getting offended on behalf of minorities over shit we don't care about that'd be nice :o

Nine in 10 Native Americans say they are not offended by the Washington Redskins name, according to a new Washington Post poll that shows how few ordinary Indians have been persuaded by a national movement to change the football team’s moniker.

Does this show the name should stay, or that the native americans have just adopted the values of their white oppressors?

I've never really onderstood why it's ok to call people white or black, but not red, yellow or brown.

I don't think brown is necessarily derogatory. It's just more often than not , brown has a weird occurrence where it's mostly used in a context that is inflammatory.

I think red and yellow are just seen as bad because the norms of what you call Asians or Native Americans that red or yellow in a modern context are just never used and seems weird to describe them that way.

Whereas white and black it's kind of key descriptions because of just how different the colors are.

yeah brown white and black in my experience have no racist tones in my experience

But I have limited interactions with Asians to be honest. I know gook is bad and calling Japanese people japs is bad but don't think I've ever had an interaction in my life when Asians have been referred to as yellow people.
