I mean its not fair to judge Kamala for the hours delay here since the tally finalized at a really bad hour of the night for either giving speeches or keeping her campaign HQ going when the end was a long shot, before it was confirmed
but it was a bit of a mark against Hillary in 16 that she delayed for hours even when people were still lined up at the HQ and it was going and the race was clearly against her, and pretty obvious at that moment she had no concession speech ready and wasn't willing to give one off the cuff
as long as Kamala doesn't wait until late tonight that won't be an issue, its no rush for her now

It was my first time really following an American election last night. One thing that i've realized is that the Democrats were more popular in the big cities and Republicans mostly in rural areas..

What is the explanation for that?

I'm glad I didn't place any actual bets, I was super confident Harris would win. Happy it's all over *knock on wood*

Think of what cities are. They are a homogenous melting pot for the most part where your coexistence is forced but life is also heavily dependant on daily interaction with government services while rural, not so much (at least not to the naked eye).

In a city everything is coexistence, you live ontop of each other, work with hundreds of people in office buildings, etc.

And how that would make Democrats more popular for these people than Republicans?

Donald Trump — the twice impeached former president, Jan. 6 coup leader, convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser, and man who mismanaged the 2020 economic implosion and coronavirus disaster that killed more than 1 million people in this country — has convinced American voters to give him another term in the White House.
