Six figures, Finance, Freelancing (Webdev) which i do way less now that i hold enough to flip 5 digits every dip.

My education? Not that much in the school system. Learnt to be my own boss by myself since the school system is made for slow people. I learnt in months what school teach you in 3-4 years.

I don't think this surprises anyone.

It doesn't slow me down. Sure my spelling might suck but i can hold a conversation with you in multiple languages. It's all that count to me. When i'm face to face with you, there's no spellcheck . We not in early 1900s, no need to write letters or poems. I make my money through finance/webdev . I don't really need to be pro @ spelling.

The fact that Joe Biden is even talking about Ron DeSantis just reveals that he knows he would lose to Ron.

To me it shows that Biden knows how screwed him and his party would be if there is another "long dark winter", but this time under his watch.
One of his most important campaign promises was that the country's covid woes were largely the result of Trump's leadership failures and that he, Biden, would get covid under control and life back to "normal" if elected.

He's on track to fail this campaign promise in spectacular fashion, so he preemptively blames Republicans for it.

Your spelling is fine, it's your grammar that's an issue. Which languages do you speak?

I'm not sure how we'll have a "long dark winter" if most of the population is vaccinated. As long as we triage properly we should be fine.

As someone who understands quite a bit of Russian (wife's first language), the reading/writing is easy once you know the alphabet because it's phonetic. The grammar in Russian has a lot of rules but at least it's well-structured (unlike English). Soft consonants are difficult for non-native speakers.

Mandarin is quite difficult and you'll need to have people to speak it to if you want to get the vowels correct. For tonal languages, I find gesticulating to be helpful so you don't accidentally say stuff like "I'm raping the ghost of your grandmother."

Well, the CDC, various public health experts/"experts" and blue state governors are already chomping at the bit to reintroduce restrictions.

Also, vaccine uptake is not only bad in MAGA country but also in heavily black or hispanic places. So it's not like only the red states will be hit badly. And let's not delude ourselves: for political reasons, politicians will not allow a large-scale triage of their own base. Red state leaders will never tell the antivaxx hillbillies to get fucked, neither will blue state governors or mayors accept a wildly disproportionate death toll among their vaccine-sceptic black and hispanic voter base.

Sure, in places with a sufficient vaccination rate among the primary group at risk, namely the persons aged 50+, we will not even come close to hitting the mortality from last winter aagain - but for many people, a winter with similar restrictions to the last one just won't cut it, even if it comes with a lower death toll. Also, this whole "keeping the economy on life support by literally showering everyone and everything with money" approach cannot be kept up indefinitely. Aaaand of course there's still too many places with an insufficient vaccination rate anyway.

I practice on discord talking with people who talk the language natively once i am comfortable enough with the basics. Best way to learn IMO.

Cool that your wife speak Russian. It's a beautiful language.

Mandarin is hardcore AF. Reason i'm learning Mandarin is to be fluent with it if i ever need to start a new business in the future if for some reasons the Gov decide to seize people assets. If it's the case, ima jump straight up on Import/Export business which is good $ and i also like Chinese culture. I love Japanese culture and Koreans but i felt Mandarin would bring more weight.

What languages do you speak?
