I'm reading some articles dating back to March 2020 that show doctors and healthcare workers were already suing the government. Some articles speak of government cover-ups, downplaying the crisis and lies!

Other articles show that families that lost loved ones are also suing. A shitload of stuff showed up when I typed "french government sued over covid" so check for yourself.

At the same time user Saucepot6K was shit posting all over PARD how terrible Donald Trump was handling the COVID-19 crisis in the US! While his own country fucked up so badly that they're getting sued all over the place lolol

What a shit show


France have had an average of 450 new cases per day and 50 deaths per day for the past 2 weeks. Even flexing that data to compare to the US' population would yield approximately 2,000 new daily cases and 250 deaths versus 20,000 and 900 for the US respectively.

In essence, their outbreak has abated and yours hasn't. It's increasing like wildfire in the less urbanised red states which will likely lead to a death rate more comparable to Western Europe at around 600 deaths per 1m (worldometers shows 359 currently).

A drug reducing the lethality by one eighth is better than nothing, but it's certainly not a game changer either.

By the looks of it, it doesnt prevent people from contracting covid, doesnt reduce the share of coronavirus patients who need hospitalization, only very marginally reduced the number of ICU patients needing weeks-long ventilation, only marginally reduces the lethality.

The US has ~330 M people while France has ~67 M. The US has ~119 k deaths while France has ~29 K deaths.

Even without calculating it for you it's easy to see the US has fewer deaths. LMK if you're so incapable that you need a calculation ^^
