This ad is a little disingenuous, don't you think? I don't think the founders of the Lincoln Project care much about "main street."

Debating people's motives seems kind of pointless, but yes, I generally believe the founders care about main street and the overall direction of this country. They're Republicans who believe Trump is unfit to lead.

I think it's an effective ad. It certainly drew Trump's attention... he tweeted and spoke to the media about it, which helped the group get more funding.

Right, that's my point. I don't think wealthy, elitist Republicans care much about main street unless it suits them politically.

Yeah... the suburban moms are surely going to be reading politifact. Sort of like the China Biden ad lost all it's muster after it was revealed one of the Asian looking people was a former American governor.

I think we need to come up with a stronger term than double-standard.

That's less a story about where suburban moms get their news and more a story about how the mainstream media launders a narrative before regurgitating it into social media channels to be consumed by politically active millenials on their iphones. The suburban moms didn't read about either of them unless they went out looking for that stuff anyway
