Uber is a money losing business. Great idea, convenient in a pinch, but already very expensive and consumers are going to very sensitive to the massive increase in price.

Uber (Eats) drivers are mostly part-time workers who supplement their income by biking around instead of wasting their life on a couch. Destroying their ability to earn extra money benefits no one, and is par for the course when it comes to Democrat economics.

Think about it. Uber cannot make money right now. Consumers are very price sensitive (inflation). What will happen if prices increase dramatically for food delivery? Fewer people will order food, Uber Eats may close, and fewer food delivery drivers will be required.

By saying "you aren't being exploited", you're effectively saying "you won't work". But this was a part time gig they willingly did to earn extra money. Restaurants get fewer orders, and some will close. Uber will lay off workers. Who "wins" in this scenario? The lottery winners who collect $17 / hour while their coworkers are all laid off?

Uber has a failing business model and they are currently exploiting workers to the tits.

If a better company with a better business model will replace it then it would have done so by now. Why does it require government intervention?

They seem to be wasting millions of dollars trying to sue the government to stop them from being forced to pay people a livable wage
