We've approved it for use today, but what other governments do is up to them!
Is reducing deaths by a third 'the answer'? I wouldn't say so.
Either way, I'm trusting Oxford over your dumb ass.
A steroid may help with the symptoms, don't get me wrong. It's an anti-inflammatory and obviously someone with COPD, or on a ventilator should have one.
The fact that it's worded as dexamethasone as some type of cure for coronavirus was my issue. Take that for what you want. You are very ignorant to the pathophysiology behind what you are blabbering about.
For example, sedation medication "holidays" are shown to improve outcomes of patients of ventilators. It has nothing to do with Coronavirus though..
A steroid might treat a symptom of COVID, but nothing to do with COVID itself..
An ice pack might alleviate the symptoms of a malignant hyperthermia, but it won't solve your cause of malignant hyperthermia.. Does that make sense to you? Tried dumbing it down for ya.
edit: Dex reduces ventilator deaths, yes. If you take covid in that account, then sure. But saying dex directly relates to covid is wrong imo.
edit2: I want to see what alleviates COVID before it gets to the point where they are vented, trached and PEG'd and needing dex..
