well odds are he might only live to 60 ish as there is no escaping the fact he's dangerously obese. probably won't live to enjoy all that money he made

It will have been a hell of a life, though. Not many people get to be the governor or district attorney of a state.

He's living the high life, he's a millionaire, he's getting lavish hotel visits for his family paid by foreign kings, watching Cowboys games with Jerry Jones in the Owner's suite, meeting and interacting with famous and powerful people all the time, etc.

I don't feel bad for him. Actually, if you're a fan of the Cowboys, that has kinda sucked for the past decade and a half.

I have some personal restraint, so I'm able to resist this setup, but holy shit, dude. You're just here to watch PaRD burn. Where's duffman, EndlessSky and herbodc when you need them?

Or do they typically not make fat jokes about Republicans?

Okay, I'm definitely stretching this one, but fuck it.

Britain is just making sure the door doesn't hit Democrats on the way in...to a continued presence and role in the foreign relations between the UK and America as the US's Executive leadership.

I think there is plenty of 1930's era Germany speeches to "borrow" from if Trump needs any material to bring an economically challenged and heavily divided country together for a final solution, i mean singular purpose.

Looks like most of the politicians acknowledged their mistakes.... I guess we'll see what the orange campaign does.

they'll crucify some underling who "wrote" the speech for Melania, "Let's never forget she knows 4 languages and is obviously iq level 140 based on just that, but since english isnt her native language, despite her being a now-proven genius, someone regrettably wrote that speech and plagiarized Michelle."

Do you really think this was Melania, though? I think it's the speech-writer, more likely than not.

I don't know whether it's reasonable to say she should have known, but I doubt it's more than negligence.

I don't blame her at all and this is a fun issue not a serious issue

Her only problem is she claimed to have written parts of it

Campaign is pulling a bitch move by letting her get dragged down with this. Should have owned up and moved on.

Ahh ya, that was worded poorly. I don't think its Melania at all but I do think it shows a bad internal structure for the Trump campaign.

Now sure, its something other politicians are guilty of, but usually as in the link Santara posted, it involves far distanced colleagues or old speeches. In this case its a still new speech by her direct peer, the current first lady giving the exact same speech from the exact same podium or sorts.

To me it shows a lack of checking and structure in the campaign, which was compounded by a slew of shitty responses from their spokespeople, the worst of which was "every time HRC feels threatened she lashes out at other powerful women", somehow implying HRC controls the media or Melania's speeches lol. So rather than admit this the campaign will scapegoat some underling, because admitting the campaign is in a bad spot and not prepared is unacceptable for "winners".

Keep in mind, this is a big moment for a woman who rarely gets given stage time. That's strategic to keep the heat off her, but that makes this flub worse IMO.
