im arguing against adding vaccine status to the title vii civil rights act for discriminations, not arguing businesses should or shouldnt ask for vaccine status before you're allowed to enter. that bold was recognition of reality, whether they or i like it or not. sorry not sorry, im a pragmatist.

i dont think the govt should coerce private businesses. as i said i also dont support title vii in the year 2021, but understand it in 1964, and dont expect it to go away in any case. again, im pragmatic.

Excellent. So we agree that government mandates regarding this are bullshit fascism, correct?

Now, let's go down the rabbit hole just a tad, shall we? If you remove any covid-related mandates, what business would willingly require proof of vaccination? Such a requirement would negatively impact both their labor pool and their customer pool. And anyone who's actually worked in any form of retail or customer service knows that it takes a lifetime of consistent service to breed customer loyalty, but it only takes one bad experience to lose a customer for life, and that customer almost always shares their dislike, potentially losing other customers as well. So if you, for instance, went into a Salon for a haircut, and they wouldn't give you one because you refused to show your papers, and they asked you to leave. So, you go to work and tell all your coworkers that that salon refused service and kicked you out, you tell your friends and family, and the best part is, you're vaccinated. You just don't feel any particular need to show your medical history to strangers. How many of your friends, family, and coworkers are now likely to go back there? How likely are you to go back there? There are other salons, other barbers, and for that matter, a pair of clippers from amazon is amazingly cheap.

Again, "requiring papers" is not a good business strategy, and typically only serves to alienate customers. The ONLY reason, right now, that the majority of businesses are doing ANYTHING covid related, be it distancing, masks, or proof of vaccination is because they're being coerced. Remove the coercion, it's business as usual.

I ain't even mad, but keep telling yourself that I am, if it helps you sleep at night. You've literally said on this forum that you don't know the facts about a lot of things, yet still hold strong opinions on subjects to which said facts would apply. Then you expect everyone else to spoon feed you said facts because you lack either the ability, or the desire, to find said information yourself. You're willfully ignorant, and:

correct, its fascist.

id have said the same about masks, especially in a store like Menards where clientele leans right, and yet Menards enacted a mask mandate nationwide weeks or even months before government mandates that people ignored and police refused to enforce.

Of course I do that. Talking to people about topics I feel strongly about *is* how I learn the facts.

Of course, it's always nice to have a baseline of some facts, which I argue I do have. I just don't see why I need to be almost an expert before I can have an opinion on something.

I'd argue I didn't.

I like it when people find facts for me, because the sorts of things they find tend to be different from the sorts I find, due to the fact we believe in different things. Again, this goes back to what I said earlier: this is the chief way I learn things.

Dude, being told what title VII is, is different from you explaining why vaccine status shouldn't be added to title VII.

By the way, why did you imply that you had sex with Duckling's mother? Is it because you are offensive by nature?

We agree. And I'm not sure what you're indicating regarding Menards. From what I heard, they were price gouging and doing any number of ill mannered things over the last year and a half. But, if they want to mandate masks all on their own, that's fine. Amazon's welcome to snipe their customers.

u were also explained that all of the protected classes of title vii are things people are born with, or are religious in nature, not choices.

menards required masks months before Tony Evers in my state mandated them.
