Because people aren’t dumb, especially after years of inflation with cumulative inflation raising prices on everything by at least 30% in last 4 years. Even the average and below average intelligence person understands and feels the impact of that in their own life. They don’t care about current CPI being 2.5% or the dozens of other ‘noise’ issues like January 6th, racism, felon, whatever other attack peddled. The more media tells people not to believe their lying eyes and focus on these other things, the more damage they did to their own credibility.

I think a lot of people do not realized that those born in the 70s,80s, 90s, and even 2000s (Apart from the Rust and Bible Belt in USA), are technically the least racist generation in the history of USA..
Not only are they receptive and embracing of others generally speaking , they are willing to stand up for their fellow men.

But the left have to sprinkle some inclusive fairy dust on the population at large to watch some drama.

The economy was abysmal which spells doom for an incumbent. Kamala was an astoundingly unpopular politician with a 36-53 favorability prior to the nomination. The democratic base was in disarray and openly challenging the incumbent, voting for 'uncommitted' against Biden and the DNC wound up scuttling primary elections entirely. They had the worst foreign policy disaster streak in modern history, making even George W. Bush look good in retrospect. Kamala had the personal charisma of a lobster.

Kamala had the unconventional advantage of billionaires funneling her records amount of money, the mainstream media behind her and her opponent being persecuted by the establishment to the point she can call him a convicted felon and hope that scares the elderly.

The difference is that most of that progressive woke shit is a lie. LGBTQ people for example are not being oppressed in the US (or in the West) and in fact they couldn't wish for a better place to live their lives with gay marriage and HRT and so on.

It's all about Democrats and the left politicizing LGBTQ and they just love to call their political opponents fascists when they don't agree on these issues (which aren't really issues in the West like stated above).
