Of course you'd dodge the news source telling you that the shooter's AR was a 5.56...

Crooks used a legally-purchased "AR-style 556 rifle," according to Rojek, referring to a rifle that uses ammunition with a 5.56 mm diameter.

556 isn't exclusive to "AR style platforms"
I mean the guys gun did look like an AR but it's still possible 22lr was used

Your own link said an AR-type weapon.
So we're to believe the FBI couldn't fully identify the weapon?

YEP, a 556 is the same as a .223 Remington.

Of course. My buddy has an AR chambered in .308, but all they have to do with the shooter's in-custody rifle is look at the markings on the receiver to know that it's 5.56. There is no way in the world even a wannabe gun bro is going to take shots like this with a .22 and hope to succeed.

You're the one trying to tell us he used a .22

Close enough, yes.

And 5.56/.223 packs far more punch than a .22

Yeah... it's the "far more punch" I'm referring to.

I've listened to it several times, which is why I'm making fun of you for trying to portray the shooter's rifle as a .22 instead of the 5.56/.223 that he actually used.

i got my proficiency lvl to 33. guess we can't level up the proficiency of a sniper weapon when an assassination attempt happens. must be against jsp rules

There's too much ambiguity in that article. "an AR-type rifle"
At 250 ft. that's a really quiet 5.56 round. ^^

There's nothing ambiguous about "AR-style 556 rifle." It's your standard, most easily available AR platform caliber, by a large margin.
Like I said, get your ears checked. ALL 13 shots heard were more powerful than the little piff piff sounds that a .22 makes.
