To be clear, saying all Humanity will be wiped out is silly, and Greta is certainly wrong in claiming a scientist said that.

However, we are right fucked on the climate issue. Large portions of the southwest and middle east are going to be uninhabitable by humans. First for economic reasons then for biological reasons. Economic turmoil and hundreds of millions of refugees are a certainty

I'm glad we can agree that the extreme alarmists are hyperbolic in their doomsday predictions

But we are still not right fucked on the climate.

It is certainly possible that entire portions of the Middle East & other very hot regions could become unhabitable - however we are talking about many hundreds of years as a timeline here, nowhere even close to 1 century. In addition to this, rising temperatures is very positive thing for most of the worlds landmass - if portions of the middle east/etc. become unhabitable, entire regions of Canada and Russia will at the same time become habitable.

Tundra will eventually thaw to arable land, and the arable habitable landmass will only INCREASE as global temperatures increase. And again we are talking about many hundreds of years as a timescale here.

Not to mention the fact that flora and fauna thrive at elevated temperatures - if you study into the weeds of the IPCC climate reports, you will find that they completely ignore any positive effects such as these.

Not to mention as well that we have no predictions to measure the fertilization effect of having a higher partial pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere - growth of flora is accelerated by this.

All-in-all, Climate alarmism is not justified and nearly 100% of the scientists involved in its study are biased in their agenda and will not report positive impacts of rising CO2 and temperatures. (funding sources are ALSO biased in their agenda, the scientists get funding only if what they report is bad for the climate)

We are talking 50-100 years for uninhabitability, not hundreds. This is an our-lifetime problem. We will see more arable land in the north, but it won't outstrip the amount of lost land at the equator, and it will do nothing to solve the economic turmoil of hundreds of millions of people relocating in a relatively short amount of time.

Even in the short term we will see more radical distribution of water. China has rivers at levels so low they are finding 1000 year old carvings. We are in once-in-a-thousand-year territory... every year.

As for your plants take, this is wrong to the point that my biology professor was talking about it in 2012. There really aren't any crops that are of the photosynthetic type that benefits from greater CO2 concentration. You say "we don't know", but what you should be saying is "I don't know", and then use that as a jumping off point to do some reading.

Scientists studying climate change have overwhelmingly been accurate in their predictions. The media has been exceptionally irresponsible in reporting it though, but it is not an exaggeration to say we will have to massively reorient the global economy and distribution of people to accomodate for a less hospitable planet.

do you think the 99% of scientists that disagree with you are simply wrong?

yeah, they have been totally accurate

predictions like yours are pretty old by now and none of that shit even remotely happened, they are based on nothing

we have serious environmental issues, pollution of all kinds, destroying the oceans, possible lack of resources, fertile land and more and some computer model based nonsense is the last of them

the arctic ice will be gone soon, trust me bro

and no, dont give me any justifications, the people being wrong on everything thats not common sense are indeed running the show

you dont think its curious that outside of far-right groups, no other democratic country in the world writes off climate change science like the American right wing?
right wing hogs are so fucking obsessed with the culture war that literally anything the left believes in will be met with resistance by right-wingers. its comical and depressing how childish it is

covid? FAKE NEWS!
climate change? not real!
literally any scientific fact? liberal bias!

wrong statement, because outside the western clown world very few people share this stupid panic

most countries attend these useless "climate summits" like a dentists appointment.....ok kk thx bye and the world goes on

not even mentioning how ridiculous your wannabe argument is

Nah, I specifically said the media was irresponsible in their reporting of the science, and then you just picked a bunch of media articles instead of articles by scientists.

It shows you fundamentally cannot read. I'd advise some adult literacy classes, they're out there and there's no shame in improving yourself.
