To be clear, saying all Humanity will be wiped out is silly, and Greta is certainly wrong in claiming a scientist said that.
However, we are right fucked on the climate issue. Large portions of the southwest and middle east are going to be uninhabitable by humans. First for economic reasons then for biological reasons. Economic turmoil and hundreds of millions of refugees are a certainty
I'm glad we can agree that the extreme alarmists are hyperbolic in their doomsday predictions
But we are still not right fucked on the climate.
It is certainly possible that entire portions of the Middle East & other very hot regions could become unhabitable - however we are talking about many hundreds of years as a timeline here, nowhere even close to 1 century. In addition to this, rising temperatures is very positive thing for most of the worlds landmass - if portions of the middle east/etc. become unhabitable, entire regions of Canada and Russia will at the same time become habitable.
Tundra will eventually thaw to arable land, and the arable habitable landmass will only INCREASE as global temperatures increase. And again we are talking about many hundreds of years as a timescale here.
Not to mention the fact that flora and fauna thrive at elevated temperatures - if you study into the weeds of the IPCC climate reports, you will find that they completely ignore any positive effects such as these.
Not to mention as well that we have no predictions to measure the fertilization effect of having a higher partial pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere - growth of flora is accelerated by this.
All-in-all, Climate alarmism is not justified and nearly 100% of the scientists involved in its study are biased in their agenda and will not report positive impacts of rising CO2 and temperatures. (funding sources are ALSO biased in their agenda, the scientists get funding only if what they report is bad for the climate)
