i'd say my post speaks less to how dangerous Pence is, and more to how not dangerous Trump was with everyone watching. I feared 4 years of stagnation, not the basically Hitler doom and gloom forecasts. and it came to pass.

Pence is a person non grata in the GOP now. He didn't drink the kool aid and they hate him for it.



Trump lost the election by killing the people who would vote for him by telling them to go to Home Depot without a mask during a pandemic.

I think he lost he state of Georgia by a number of votes that is approximately the number of people who died of covid there.

We need to have hearings on the past government and see if any of the Covid-response hinderance was criminal.

Its deeper than that, Pence doesn't understand the average voter and says off key things.

Just for the record: not every old person votes Republican, Trump won persons aged 65+ by "just" 5% in 2020. For them to make up Biden's 12k vote margin in Georgia, elderly Trump voters in GA would have to have engaged in risky behavior at ridiculously higher rates than elderly Biden voters. The 22k covid deaths in the state (if we assume the number of covid deaths from people younger than 65 to be negligible) would need to come from 5k Biden voters and 17k Trump voters.
