It's not a mess at all. The arabic numerals are indian numerals. Mathematically, anyway.

"However they were not transmitted directly from India to Europe but rather came first to the Arabic/Islamic peoples and from them to Europe"

Besides, they are NUMBERS; this has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD

Now stick to the TOPIC, mofo

Can you answer ANY of my challenges?

Either put up or shut up

I addressed all of your challenges and you failed to create a cohesive argument beyond "Nuh-uh! You're wrong!" I brought up the numbers as an explanation to your hand avatar, which is quite a silly image. You should probably draw your sources from Islamic scholars, lawyers, and historians rather than your personal opinions because so far you've demonstrated no knowledge of your own religion.

I've been looking at a couple of websites now and there's no lack of examples when it comes to contradictions. I'm not gonna say all of them are true, nor am I going to list all of them. I'd rather just have you pick them apart one by one if you're able to. Lets start with one that seems rather clear.

Its a matter of who is to be blamed for disbelief. Does disbelief originate in the individual or does it come from allah?
Quote (6:12)
It is they who have lost their own souls, that they will not believe

Quote (10:100)
No soul can believe except by the will of Allah

It's quite obvious why these are contradictory.

If they're snatched out of context I would like you to provide the proper context.
If they're mistranslated I would like you to attempt a proper translation.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, quite frankly you're confusing the hell out of me. You're claiming the "arabic" used 0 1 2 3 etc numerals before the indian numerals were introduced to them? Thats falsehood, since the 0 1 2 3 etc are the hindu numerals. Please explain yourself.

im a bit confused too. i think the numbering system is the same (indian root), i was talking about the representations of the numbers, the symbols/shapes

Can't really say the symbols look arabic any more than they resemble the original sanskrit symbols. Time and translation.

wow that was fast ! xD
umm u maybe right maybe arabic inherited it from sanskrit. i was under impression that arabs used to use 0 1 2 3 4 symbols before switching to ٠ ١ ٢ ٣ ٤ which they called hindu numbers. conceptually they are the same thing just different symbols.
anyway ill post no more cuz off topic and am not even sure of what am saying

It was my understanding from several Arabic professors that Arabs used a few different symbols for numbers, but mainly 0 through 9. When the Arab world shifted from being various tribes into a cohesive identity, they set 0-9 as the standard. The Hindi numbers were something floating around and eventually became the symbols used today. That change to standard Arabic happened after the birth of Islam IIRC.

Tl;Dr: the op's avatar is a dumb coincidence.
