let's not get into (alleged) billionaire Trump's finances again

people always have a cow when you dare question the wealth of a guy that talks about not much other than how wealthy he is

The transcript thing is the one thing that really screams sexism imo

Her credibility and transparency are fair game I don't think any of you fucks have any right to see those transcripts if she doesn't want to show em. They shouldnt even be in the same post as tax returns.

You think it's sexist that people want her to release her Wall Street transcripts?

The reason her Wall Street transcripts were being called to be released was because she ran against a candidate who made campaign finance one of the biggest issues of his campaign, not because of sexism.

The reason previous candidates that recieved a lot of donations from big banks or Wall Street weren't asked to release any speech transcripts is because campaign finance wasn't nearly as big of an issue or as talked about nearly as much until recently. Neither Hillary or Obama recieved much criticism at all for the subject in 2008.

Secondly, it's not even the transcripts themselves that people trally want to see. Hillary Clinton is just a very un-transparent candidate in general so the transcripts thing just became more or less a rallying cry for her to be more forthcoming with the public.

There are undoubtebly aspects of sexism when it comes to some criticisms of Hillary Clinton, but the transcripts thing is definitely not one of them.

The sad thing is that I've seen a couple of Hillary supporters say this now and it just makes legitimate complaints of sexism harder for Conservatives to take seriously.

The feminist movement has taken a hit and stalled over the past one and half decades and part of the reason why is because suddenly almost everything became sexist, so less people took legitimate complaints seriously. The internet has been a mixed bag for feminism and a lot of other movements.

I'm not one to use the sexist or racist claim lightly

Plenty of shit to use against Clinton I don't think anyone has any right to see what she said in her speeches or what Trump has said in whatever similar types of things he has done

Everything isn't sexist but wanting the chick to play by different rules than the dudes when nobody prior to the chick has been pressured/forced into it before seems pretty cut and dry to me

I don't think it's sexist to question her credibility or her authenticity or her transparency as a politician or candidate but for the transcripts specifically I think there is sexism behind it imo

I don't see sexism in the request to see the transcripts. Obama and Hillary both received donations from Wall Street in 2008, whey weren't there requests for her transcripts then?

Campaign finance and political donations from Wall Street became a big issue this election (especially for Hillary's opponent in the primaries) and the request to see the speech transcripts reflects that focus.

Jokes about Bill's infedility relating to Hillary, questions about her ability to be a qualified leader, jokes about her being too emotional and etc are all areas I've seen sexism against Hillary Clinton this election cycle, but the request to see her transcripts is not one of them.

Bernie Sanders did take Hillary's offer seriously:

https://berniesanders.com/press-release/sanders-accepts-clintons-challenge-on-wall-street-speeches/

He also said he would release his tax returns if Hillary released her transcripts. She never did, but he still released his tax returns.

Obama and Hillary both received donations and speaking service payments from Wall Street before the 2008 election, why weren't there any requests for any of her speech transcripts then?
