God damn. I thought it was bad in the 2000s when they would pretend not to know what evolution is. This is so much more ridiculous and dangerous.

But its not unexpected. Theres so many issues that conservatives have been willfully ignorant on that this is just the next thing, so I can't say I'm particularly surprised. If you give them a the willful ignorance pass on climate change, evolution, and so many economic issues like trickle down, universal healthcare, and the minimum wage then it tells them they'll never be held to account for being dishonest.

Not sure it needs saying(or perhaps repeating), but your criticism of the Republican party years ago was absolutely correct.
