Trump was still wrong, he was referencing cases of Mexican local authorities releasing cartel employed criminals who eventually find their way into the US on cartel business. This corruption driven type event was always rare, but was overblown. and always a lie to characterize as "Mexico not sending their best". especially as most immigrants arent even mexican.

Trump had the chance to get mexico to enforce migrant caravans, work with him to combat cartels (as Obama did), etc. Instead he blamed US issues on Mexico, then said Mexico would pay for his wall. So of course they let caravans right on through.

If statistics showed cops to murder people at a disproportionate rate, the sentiment behind these words would have some merit.

Things get complicated when it comes to migration and rape rates. Here in Europe, the statistics (where available, hello Sweden) clearly show migrants from third world countries of origin to be vastly overrepresented among rapists (even when controlling for sociodemographic profile, e.g. age structure or education level). In the US, the stats are not painting as clear a picture. But that's where it gets tricky because many of these statistics lump legal/regular and illegal/irregular immigrants to the US together. Since green card migrants tend to be highly educated, economically successful and committing crime at below average rate, this will of course confound the conclusion such a statistic allows us to draw about the propensity for crime among irregular (illegal and/or asylum seeker) migrants.

Additionally, the rape rate of the native US population with which the immigrants are compared is higher than in Europe, mostly due to blacks. (And just to be clear: the root factor for such behavior is deprivation and ghetto culture, not ethnicity itself...)

curious to see a study 10 years from now to see what % of the inflation is attributed to shortages compared to stimulus. as well as a postmortem on the shortages, some seem seriously bogus and potentially manufacturer driven to spike prices, and shades of gray of that rippling out into even legitimate shortages. certainly not as cut and dry as say exxon tanker crashes and oil prices spike type shortages of yesteryear.

not an expert in the US, but in all european countries that have received "migrants" and "refugees", the sex crimes rates are sky rocketing. Literally all countries and even in Sweden where the government is trying to silence independent media, people are aware of this.
