He's had multiple such trainwreck moments, over dozens of minutes on end, during his campaign events for the New Hampshire primary - and he consequently finished in 5th place. His events for the Iowa primary were quite awful too. As were his early debate performances last summer/fall. Since Nevada, he has come across as more sharp and fresh, but still nothing to write home about. I guess they changed his meds.

The "Joe suffers from dementia"-jokes are of course a bit hyperbolic, but not entirely baseless either. It's particularly funny when you keep in mind how Democrats and their allies in the media have been emphasizing that "Trump is too old/rambling/unfit for office/suffering from a psychological condition" for 4 years straight, and now they suddenly rally behind this sad shell of the man formerly known as Joe Biden.

Trump didn't get that treatment, he was an outsider that people thought it was better to ignore than attack. if he had been facing attacks from all others from day one it might have shown a lot more about how he handles things under pressure. instead he got to spout precanned attacks on the Bush family and then move from target to target, rather than being the target.

There's no way he could have done well in the democratic primaries because a white male cannot unload on a group of women and gays and get away with it. Lol. He sat back he took the hits didn't do shit and I still won the white male way.

it’s a debate aka an argument - you are supposed to counter the person you are debating! but when you prevent one side from arguments due to (insert uncontrollable characteristic here) it ceases to be a debate


seems like the only people who cared about that on the left were Kamala the crooked cop and racist self-loathing privileged lefty white liberals. minorities were fairly pro-Joe in the primaries.

Of course it was a dirty attack that wasnt easy to counter. He could still have done a lot better countering it. For example by pointing out that busing was controversial even within the African Ameican community. Or that it was so unpopular that it was given up just a few years later, and for good reason.

But fine, you have given an explanation for his bad performance during the early debates. What's the explanation for his repeated atrocious campaign events in Iowa and New Hampshire, and for him still having horrible public appearances from time to time?

Btw, and I know I've said this countless of times here on PaRD: Biden didnt win the primary based on his own strength, he won it because he was, despite huge personal shortcomings, still the the least flawed alternative to Bernie. The party establishment waited as long as it possibly could, hoping to find a better alternative. They didnt, so they said 'fuck it' and went with Biden.
