This is a recurring theme I've noticed in the most desperate circles of journalism, where reporters make their story about how they were unable to even contact the people who clearly brushed them off, as if that meant anything beyond them being a totally worthless reporter who can't even get a phone call. Its not the first time I've commented on that same phenomenon, but I can't remember what some of the previous ones have been, its not exactly notable.
