They don't care about people being healthy, or eating healthy though. They literally just don't want people being fat. It's very reductionist.

I don't give a shit if people are fat. I give a shit if people are burdens when simple restraint would fix the issue.

There are legitimate societal and ethical reasons to not be fat.

The same could be said about not being vegan. There are health, ethical, environmental and social reasons to make the switch, but "that's different".

And again, people are only concerned with whether others are "fat", not healthy. Other than people's eyeballs, there's been no mention of any type of measurement for "health". Indeed, any type of system that actually seeks to gauge health would apply to all people, not just fat people. But again, "that's different".

So then you're just as adamant that people need to cut out eating red meat, processed sugars and adopt a vegan diet then?

as sam said there are legitimate reasons to not want someone to be fat, its a hard life socially.

Is it bigoted to say "i dont want my son to be gay" simply because i dont want him to get made fun of or worry about someone punching him in the locker room? same concept to me. Acceptance and preference at play here.

but i wont deny there are vain individuals who just dont like to see cankles hanging off the side of a roller scooter in Walmart.

Bigoted? No. Doesn't address the underlying issue though. If we conformed in response to every societal judgment, we'd live in a very sad world.

im fine with societal judgement changing over time to kinder treatment for all, that won't help my kid when he's getting bashed between classes though.

Red meat in general? No. Processed meat? Perhaps. Meat from our current main supply of livestock probably isn't that healthy for someone. I don't really believe grass fed meat is all that bad for you though.

Processed Sugars? Yes, because if nothing else it makes losing all that fat way damn easier.

Should put your gay son through conversion therapy then instead of being a solid parent then.

Lol im framing a hypothetical, like i said it comes down to preference and acceptance. My preference is to have a straight child, once it comes out of the womb i will accept it regardless.

So you don't ever eat processed meat or processed sugars? Also, are you vegan?

I'm also curious by what measurement of health you use.
