How can you push so hard against something that you don't believe in?

Is there a god? No there isn't, but why not let everyone believe their own thing? Are you reassuring yourselves by ridiculing those that do believe?

He is god but is also separate from god. It is as if you cut your leg off and it grew another head. It's still part of you but would think on it's own.

That's the most common ridiculous justification for these contradictions anyway.
