Huge blow to democrats.
They are FORCED to back off on the anti-trump propaganda.

It took a former president and presidential candidate being nearly assassinated for democrats to stop spewing venom.

No minority state would ever willing subject itself to the will of a foreign majority oppressing it.

That’s correct he says it okay to kill all people that support trump and was laughing about the death of the fire fighter at the rally.

Civil war? I doubt it. The end of our democracy and breakdown of civil society into irreconcilable differences that might have resulted in balkanization? Quite possibly.
I think its just more likely any chaos would be settled in a way that isn't (organized) warfare, because America simply lacks any concept of state/local identity anymore, we can't have blocs like the north and south.

Had Trump been killed, there's no way the results of the 2024 election would be seen as legitimate, and then we have to ask what follows

I believe it wouldn't be okay for most politicians on either side to be walking around without protection and there would be chaos on the streets. The political divide would call for extreme conditions sadly.
