If we take it literally this is totally true. He isn't saying all prices are lower after all.

The truth is you and others went out if your way to interpret it in the most favorable light. If Trump had posted this can you really say with a straight face that Void would have brought it up at all? We both know he wouldn't, and he probably would have actively defended it.

That's a really pointless hypothetical. Trump didnt oversee soaring inflation rates, nor can his economic policies be construed as being nearly as inflationary as Biden's spending spree (and the signal he sends to the markets by proposing another $6 trillion in spending on top of it).
Inflation never was a weak spot for Trump. Also, neither his twitter feed nor that of his aides or interns was ever as lame as this older-than-boomer humor.

It's not like this WH tweet is anything big (other than indicating bad political instincts by whoever greenlit this), but you're drawing an equivalence which simply isn't true.

Dude, I don't need to draw an equivilance between them. This is peanuts compared to the constant shit that Trump did which was constantly defended. They aren't equivilant, this is far far far less than the things that were actively defended.

The argument that "well we can't know for sure because Trump never specifically tweeted about inflation" is dishonest.

Can you point to a single example of Trump touting an alleged political success which flew in the face of the actual effect of his policies and which was defended by 'us'?

Trump constantly tweeted about successes that were actually failures.

One in particular that was defended by damn near everybody was his whole "I saved jobs at factories" when you then look at they outsourced most of the jobs anyway.

I don't have a catalog of every time somebody defened Trump for somebody, obviously, but that shit was constant.

Well, you of course didn't keep a catalog or an excel file. ;)
It's an okay-ish example, but to be fair, at the time he tweeted this stuff, it wasnt entirely clear yet if/that the jobs would be outsourced anyway a couple of months/years later.

Also, Trump at least didnt tout a success in this example that his policies actively undermined. The Biden WH touted lowered prices while his policies are actively fueling the inflation. Trump touted saved factory jobs while his policies, at worst, did nothing to save them. The comparison would only add up 100% if Trump had actively pursued policies that accelerate the outsourcing, which he didnt.

I mean, if we want a touted success that didn't happen and that his policies actively went against, immigration is like 100% that.

Virtually every one of Trump's policies only made immigration worse while costing a lot of money and he constantly claimed to be doing a great job. And that's probably the place he will be most staunchly defended.

How exactly did Trump's policies make immigration "worse"? Immigration numbers during his tenure went down compared to Obama's last years in office, and they're also up again since Biden took over. His Remain in Mexico policy and the agreements with Central American states were a huge success; all hell broke loose as soon as Biden revoked them. The political leaders of Mexico, Guatemala and such explicitly said so at press conferences during Harris' visit. Now, Biden/Harris are scrambling to reinstate these policies without freaking out their lefty base.
