Why invest in infrastructure elsewhere really.

Might as well just put a bulls eye on my house for kids to toss rocks at. I'm almost 24 hour darkness now. Will see the sun again in a few months.

Yeah they're lurking.

Shame that there doesn't seem to be a mass industrial incinerator solution that would generate energy to run a generator and power a small grid. Every remote community has the same issue. We have no way to disposing of garbage. We just routinely lite the dump on fire. It's the same problem in each town now that it's frowned upon to put it in the ocean. Even without an air pollution control system if it reduces diseal consumption its a net gain since we're burning the trash in the open anyways
