Holy shit guys look into this stuff it's a complete DISASTER, EU seems to only have vaccinated less than 2% of it's population vs 10% vs Boris Johnson's UK. No wonder EU is so sore, it clearly shows who's the Brexit winner!

For Farage, this is actually quite a measured response, however the failure to negotiate a FTA involving services, particularly financial services, was ridiculous from the UK government''s perspective not the EU's

It needs to be sorted very soon as no amount of trade deals with pacific nations or the US is going to make up for the shortfall in trade with our largest trading partner

Once the pandemic has subsided we'll be able to quantify the negative financial impact of Brexit on the UK. It won't quite be the no deal 8% reduction in long term GDP but 2-3% would not surprise me, and this cost brings very little benefit. Measly trade deals with distant nations and a points based immigration system

Needless to say, I hope we make a success out of it but I don't see it happening with this incompetent government

This vaccine row is looking increasingly ugly for the EU with calls for EU chief von der Leyen to resign https://eutoday.net/news/politics/2021/resignation-of-von-der-leyen
Von der Leyen is German, no wonder fender has suddenly gone MIA

i said you behave LIKE a brexiteer when it comes to your ignorant jingoism, and that your mischaracterisation of the issue was farage-LIKE, as in factually wrong and intended to make the EU look bad, while portraying the poor little UK as its victim. at no point did i claim you voted for brexit, and it's entirely irrelevant in this context to begin with.

all i'm saying is that you established yourself as a lying hack and over-emotional EU hater, and that you should do better if you can. i'm perfectly fine with criticising the EU - it deserves it in many different aspects on a multitude of issues - but petty lies from bitter people just rub me the wrong way, that's why i'm calling them out.

Shit is hitting the fan buddy, doesn't look good for your sluggish bureaucratic "union" and that puppet EU chief von der Leyen especially, lol

oh shit, the EU wants the rest of the world to die - it basically, indirectly, practically says it right there!

Just for the record: after the latest election for the European parliament resulted in a gridlock between the leftist and rightist factions, it was French president Macron (not Merkel) who settled for and pushed through von der Leyen as a compromise candidate. Von der Leyen had already been a complete and total failure in her role as a minister in Merkel's cabinet, so at least to us Germans, it's no surprise that anything this woman touches turns to shit.

The acquisition of covid vaccines was delegated by the member states to the EU commission led by von der Leyen. It is a complete and total disaster. The lack of early vaccine access will, in comparison with Israel, the UK, the US or Canada, cost Europe tens of thousands of lives and require lockdowns and other restrictions to be kept in place far longer So as a result of this fuckup, we're talking about a five figure death toll, hundreds of billions in economic damage, gigantic social and psychological costs, a huge blow to the reputation of the EU with its own people and also abroad, and incalculable political ramifications when the people of Europe are presented with the costs of the crisis.

I think you are painting it really badly, first you simply say "It is a complete and total disaster" which is a double use of the same word, without any real argument about the reason how and why. Who could have do it better in Europe ? Do you have a proof of this ?
Europe is slow, nothing new, now lets see if it's not going better in few weeks, because yet there's many deaths in US and UK too, don't forget it.

There is a valid reason why everyone in the world hates Germans you know...
