Alex is going to the mattresses over teleprompters I love the internet

It could be useful to know just how delusional someone may be about a candidate for future discussion.

I need some sort of reference point. Even though this a silly topic, if a Trump supporter is unwilling to concede this blatantly obvious flip-flop, then perhaps they will never concede any point relating to Donald Trump.

Donald Trump said that "if you run for president, you shouldn't be allowed to use teleprompters."

Now that Donald Trump is using teleprompters, should he be allowed to run for president?

Do you agree with Donald Trump's statement or disagree with that statment?

You can agree with the first statement, but recognize that it isn't the case, so still support him for President..

You can be against something, but still abuse it until something is done about it.

For example, tax loopholes. I'm against the rich being able to hide their money and get away from paying taxes because of loopholes, but if I had the option, I'd sure as fuck abuse it until it was changed..

I agree with you. I understand that logic. I'm asking for their opinion on the matter. I'm particularly interested in seeing if they think there was a flip-flop on his teleprompter stance or not.

They're irrational...

...they're often confused...

...they're rapists...

...and some, I assume, are good people.

wat

So wait, are you saying that Trump was trying to say that teleprompters should be illegal for presidential candidates but it's okay that he uses them because they're not illegal yet?

Like, I'm trying to find any other way to interpret your post, but that's what I'm reading here, and it seems so disconnected from anything that I'd recognize as reality that I literally cannot even

No need to try and interpret it another way, that is exactly what I'm saying. It seems to me that abusing things while they're legal is a great way to get ahead in many cases, so why not...

Not that I'm a Trump supporter, but I wouldn't really call it a flip-flop unless he specifically said that he wouldn't use them, as opposed to saying he thinks they shouldn't be allowed.

Classic. Two people posting things implying that they disagree, but fail to post a single reason why/what they disagree with.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to say that Trump was claiming that they should be illegal and that it's okay to use them while they're legal. He was saying that they shouldn't be used, not calling for them to be banned.

He's using them because his handlers are trying to bring him under control because he's an absolute disaster at speaking without one, and him using a teleprompter is just another example of his rank hypocrisy.
