what does an american's outrage do to stop Israel vs Hamas? you could lobby all day and aid wont stop, the split in the DNC over aid and the nearly unilateral support in the GOP proves that. and its still not settled even if we did halt all aid that would stop israel.
One grievance is actionable. one is just thoughts and prayers.
unless you're in the camp that thinks we shouldnt even have peace keeping aircraft carriers to stop the conflict from escalating, i dont agree but at least that's somewhat logical to a degree.
the bigger issue is that misinformed graphics and narratives are counterproductive to the #freepalestine cause, its been an issue since before the conflict even started. its so pervasive it led people to literally cheer on the hamas attacks on october 7th. there's so many inaccurate buzzwords among the pro-palestine NPC people it makes it hard to even take them serious.
to them israel are jailers that wont let anyone leave gaza (false, they have no where to go). the blockade starves gaza (false, its a rocket filter, there's just not much aid entering and starvation isnt prevalent in a population that doubled in 20 years). they're ethnically cleansing gaza (false, casualties were VERY low pre-oct 7th). bombs in gaza are "just another day for gazans" (false, again casualties were incredibly low for years now, west bank had far more casualties in 2022, and even those numbers are nothing compared to the last month). hamas are terrible and super unpopular (false, they just aren't). LGBTQ people in gaza dont have it that bad (false, hamas doesnt even bother to punish them personally, they just notify their family who takes it from there). the list is endless, and its hard to find a single page in this thread where these mistruths arent spewed several times.
and here i am, a supporter of a free Palestine, who just cant stomach most palestian supporters because they're liars, at best deeply misinformed.
too many facts, dont expect a level headed response
