Newt Gingrich has been making a lot of appearances with Trump. I'd say he is probably the favorite right now. That's what betting markets say, too. Mike Pence's name has been thrown around a lot recently, too.

Personally I think he should go for Joni Ernst, but I don't think she would say yes. She's a rising young star in the party and might not want to throw her hat in the ring with someone the party doesn't like and doesn't even have a good chance of winning.

On Hillary's side, it seems like she's been distancing herself from Warren after getting a little cozy. Warren has since denounced the TPP again and has tried to regain some of the favorability she had with her biggest base (far left liberals who support increased Wall Street/banking regulations). Right now, I'd say Tim Kaine is the favorite. Warren is still in the mix. Julian Castro is still the darkhorse.

Just a clarification question - Is that study only on illegal mexicans? Or all illegal immigrants from the Mexican border?

Only reason I ask is because there might be more from other countries that might balance it out more. But at any rate theres MORE illegals every year, so in a sense, since theres more illegals every year Trump wouldn't be "lying" by saying the illegal immigration problem is getting worse every year.

But yeah, politicians spin facts the way they want to.

Well, the study is actually on all immigrants, but of course he cherry picks the graph that makes his side look better, instead of being honest about the discussion.

I heard Bernie is to endorse Hillary on Tuesday?

What were his wins for the convention? I'm guessing a no go on trade?

Yes, that's the buzz.

Most notably, he successfully got the DNC platform to adopt a $15 minimum wage. Hillary wanted $12. I would have preferred him fighting for something else on the DNC platform such as being against the TPP.

That was a stance HRC had on the TPP at one point, too, before she flipped (ant-TPP). It's a complicated subject, but I believe the American people deserve to know what's in the deal before being forced to accept it.

Also would have liked to see Warren use her leverage to help the DNC adpot a pro-Glass Stegall stance. She was the bridge between Hillary and Bernie on banking regulations, so to speak. She cozied up to Clinton for a while but now seems a little spurned by her. Maybe Hillary told her she was mulling other options at VP, too.

I didn't want a warren vp, just didn't feel like a good pair up. In your circles has her credibility taken a hit by being so lovey dovey with clinton?

Not sure how Pew Research is biased or cherry picked in this case.

More unauthorized Mexican immigrants have left the US than came to the US since 2007, and that's really the end of it.

Trump's #1 issue (immigration) is extremely dishonest and misleading. Illegal immigrants are not "pouring" over the border. The problem has gotten better recently, not worse.

It's something Trump supporters really struggle to come to terms with. That's why it triggers them.

She took a small hit with Liberal crowd, yeah. But it's not something she can't recover from. She still can push Clinton in the right direction on important issues if she chooses to stick to her guns and her previous talking points.

Not sure how you don't understand. The vast majority of the study was about illegal immigrants. Trumps stances are against illegal immigrants. You hand pick the one graph in the study that focuses just on illegal Mexicans because it makes your argument appear stronger, and misrepresents Trump's stance.

Here is the data on all unauthorized immigrants in the US:

As you can see, the number of illegals/unauthorized immigrants in the US has decreased since 2007.

Let me ask you a question: Has Donald Trump talked about the issue of illegal immigration honestly with the American people?

When you look at this graph, would you say illegal immigrants are "pouring" over the border, like Trump does? Why do you think he doesn't talk about the fact that illegal immigration is a problem that has gotten better or leveled off since 2007?

Is the problem of illegal immigration becoming worse? Are more illegals coming into this country than leaving?
