Eh, it just doesnt make sense to look at the absolute number of votes in an election where turnout made a huge jump.
By the same token, one could argue that Trump received far and away the second most votes in history. Or that Trump received the most votes of any Republican ever in pretty much every single state.




Yes, that's what still irks me about the 2020 election: Trump absolutely deserved to lose, but Democrats absolutely did not deserve to win.
The GOP might have dodged a bullet though. For them, a second Trump term could very well have gone like GWB's second term...
