Hopefully it works out favourabley and drops some of the stigma and people get help but I have a feeling it will have negligible impact.

State has a $17bn surplus and can't afford to foot the bill for 5 day school weeks. Maybe 4 day the new trend. My boss would ROFL if I asked this though.

Once free to roam the country fighting against occupying forces, the transition to office life appears to have hit Omar Mansur, a 32-year-old Taliban commander who fought in five provinces, hard.

“We had a great degree of freedom about where to go, where to stay, and whether to participate in the war,” he said. “These days, you have to go to the office before 8am and stay there till 4pm.

“If you don’t go, you’re considered absent, and [the wage for] that day is cut from your salary.”

Kabul was wildly far removed from all the rural Taliban, the difference in societys was said to be so far apart Kabul might as well be on the moon compared to all the dirt scratching goat humpers in the rest of the country. No surprise its a culture shock if any outsiders stuck around
