And I get you. When I was working tech jobs half my day was spent reading the news, how-to's on a variety of subjects that had nothing to do with work, etc. So I get it, sort of. Just seems odd. Like, how often do you hear, "If I can sway just one vote, I've done my job!" or "If I can save just one soul, I've done my job!" Wandering into a forum designed for those types to shitpost just seems strange to me.

I'm confident I could move over now but no security and having a family means it's a risk I don't want to take. Better as a hobby and I'll retire super early

Maryland reopened, second wave smashed them, guess we have our answer for people demanding full reopening.

They reopened while their first wave was still in full swing, lol. This doesnt have to mean a lot for other states where the first wave has already abated, like e.g. Texas.

An island off japan did that, same result.

Well, fully reopening at the moment is idiotic anyway. Mass events like live sports, concerts or clubbing must of course remain banned until a vaccine or effective treatment has been found.
A more gradual reopening, like going back to work, school or outsides-restaurants while maintaining a minimum distance and strict hygiene rules is well possible in places which are past the peak of the wave.

But nice try lumping me together with conspiracy theory lunatics.
