Time for another evaluation, has Putin lost the war yet? (as pointed out by OP nearly 2 years ago)

Did the sanctions bring them to their knees begging for mercy? Was Putin beheaded by his own generals or mobs of Russians that rose up against their government because the sanctions crashed the Russian economy (predictions by the West).

Are they finally out of ammo (claimed by the West in March 2022) and stripping washing machines for semiconductor chips? Or is it the West that can't keep up with Russian armaments production and are becoming increasingly desperate :o

We are two years into a 10 day special military operation.

And yeah, their economy has been fucked pretty hard. They are cannibalizing everything to keep the war effort going. Their airplanes are falling out of the sky for lack of maintenance. They are producing 60% less cars than they were before in a good month. They are barely able to supply chips through China and their oil revenue has collapsed 70%.

They can keep going, but this has been a resounding success for the west. Russia spent a huge amount of resources to gain basically nothing and revealed themselves as a paper tiger that can be easily stopped with relatively minor amounts of military aid.

You must be living in alternate reality.

Russia can trade with BRICS members China and India and import all the cars they need all day long. Yes of course car production is way lower when a bunch of Western car producers take their losses and leave. Because that's what happened, all those investments in Russia went down the shitter while Russia is now trading with other countries.

BRICS members and the entire global South think those sanctions are the dumbest thing ever and simply refuse to be Western tools, they are not interested at all. The result is that Western countries shot themselves in the foot with those sanctions it's crystal clear. Energy crisis / inflation leading to people voting with their wallets, especially in the EU this is an issue, Germany's manufacturing and chemical industry relied on cheap Russian commodities and angry voters turn to the AfD (this party is crushing the current govt in the polls).

This whole economic war against Russia is insanity, Western consumers are taking the hit and Ukraine is getting completely wrecked in the process.

BRICS members actually LOVE the sanctions because it lets them get a steep discount on Russian oil. Russia can buy cars, but you know what it means when you can't make anything yourself? Constant economic drain. Which is what we're seeing happen. Those BRICS countries are even refusing to use the ruble as they know it's basically worthless at this point. The second Russia lifts its currency controls it's going to fall through the floor.

Western consumers are basically unaffected at this point. Once we got through the first winter Russia's gas exports became irrelevant and they never produced anything we couldn't get cheaply elsewhere.

I am loving how desperate you are to defend such a shit show though. Very funny how desperate you are to simp for a country you will never touch.

I think the biggest W is that the guy who started this topic got disillusioned and lost interest in supporting far right Nazis.

Who's desperate here, me or the guy with a fabricated quote of mine in his sig lol

The shit show is the West / NATO insisting that a corrupt shit hole like Ukraine must become a NATO member regardless the costs / lives lost.

Its 2 years in and Ukraine's best defense is defensive mechanisms. If you need to argue Russia is acktually losing, 'because', then Russia is actually winning.
You know what would have served America's interests? Either picking wars we can win, or not picking losing wars.
The debate now is whether Ukraine will manage to hang in there enough to avoid crumbling and at minimum losing all its valuable border farmland if not imploding entirely as infighting ruptures the regime. I'd still wager Ukraine will linger on and the current cracks showing are mostly an effort to drum up fundraising in the US. But what's Russia doing? They're building and rebuilding cities they've conquered, massive infrastructure projects. The western Ukrainian mayor-in-exile of Mariupol gave a big presentation in Brussels about how he needs $5 billion to rebuild Mariupol, how the IMF can fund a post-war after the occupiers have somehow been vanquished. Meanwhile Russia actually is rebuilding Mariupol right now, and the Russian propagandists tried to show a big presentation of their progress in Modena last month only for the western powers to say oops free speech is actually more of a guideline we're going to censor anyone who hurts our feelies by pointing out our failures.

If you want to beat Putin, actually beat Putin. Joe Biden is speedrunning what Obama accomplished in Syria, a colossal blunder that's going to haunt us for generations and left Russia on top and our geopolitical position diminished. Who's got a plan to beat Putin now? A plan that isn't just declaring yourself the winner like a sore loser child in a family board game.

Like Thor123422 said.
Btw these sub-dejections are cannibalizing their economy and are sending their grandmas or children in jail for criticizing even a bit this "great war" brilliant idea.
Second army in the wurld failed so hard the history will use it as an example of degeneracy. These kinds of regimes are terrible failures, along with the sub-parasites defending them.

They definitely deserved it.

This is all a direct result of not allowing Russia to join NATO.

NATO was formed as a military alliance to counter the USSR. The USSR collapsed and broke apart in the 90's. The independence of Ukraine was negotiated based on NATO not expanding to Russia's bordering nations. NATO now extends to nearly all of Russia's bordering nations. Russia join NATO? NATO exists, at this point in time, specifically to keep Russia from becoming an Economic Superpower. Not only is it stupid to think Russia would ever WANT to join NATO, it's stupid for NATO to exist at all were Russia to do so.

Russia has singed multiple treaties in which they explicitly pledge to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, among them the Budapest Memorandum of 1994 in which Ukraine gave up its nukes and handed them over to Russia in exchange for security guarantees.

In the NATO-Russia Founding Act of 1997, both sides affirmed their commitment to respecting the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of all countries, including their right to choose the means for defending their security as they see fit.

And it's not like NATO forced all these Eastern European countries to join them, it were Russia's neighbors who couldn't join NATO fast enough. They clearly saw NATO membership as their only chance at holding off Russian revanchism.

NATO violated those treaties by bringing in former Soviet Bloc nations. Those treaties have less weight than toilet paper.

Regardless, nothing you're saying has any bearing on the outright stupidity of claiming "Russia should join NATO". NATO exists specifically as a counter to Russia.
